The Castles of the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza
The Castles of the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza form a net of 25 frescoed and furnished strongholds, fortresses and mansions. They are often imposing, charming and historically remarkable buildings built by noble families who made Italian history great in different historical periods from the Middle Ages to the Belle Epoque.

The SPA
Salsomaggiore Terme is only a few kilometres from here. It is famous for its waters containing sodium chloride, bromide and iodide, which were already well known to the ancient Romans and Celts.
In the photo you can see Palazzo Berzieri, the symbol of European Spas and of the town of Salsomaggiore, the only example of thermal Art Deco style.
